Tea extract

Depending on the variety, tea extract made from black, green or white tea is used.

Juice concentrate

Depending on the variety, 28 ICE TEA contains 1 to 5% fruit juice made from fruit juice concentrate.

Sugar

28 ICE TEA contains 5.5 g to 7.5 g of sugar, depending on the variety.

Honey

28 ICE TEA Pomegranate, Green Tea Honey and 28 ICE TEA Blueberry White Tea contain blossom honey.

Ginseng extract

In medicine, ginseng extract is used to improve physical performance among people suffering from fatigue, weakness and exhaustion. It strengthens the immune system and supports mental performance. 28 ICE TEA Green Tea Honey contains ginseng extract.

Acidifier

Addition helps round off the taste and stabilises 28 ICE TEA microbiologically. Addition is indicated on the label.

Antioxidant: ascorbic acid

Ascorbic acid (i.e. vitamin C) binds oxygen to stabilise the flavours. This is how 28 ICE TEA retains its taste and its colour until the "Best before" date. Addition of ascorbic acid is indicated on the label.

Natural flavouring

Natural flavouring consists exclusively of natural flavouring substances or flavour extracts derived from a natural source.

What is theine?

The caffeine found in tea is also referred to as 'theine'. Chemically speaking, caffeine and theine are identical, and both have stimulating effects. Theine, however, is largely bound to the tannins that occur in tea, and this leads to a delay in effects.

Apple juice is not mentioned in the product name or in the product designation because apple juice rounds off the product's taste but does not play a major role in determining it.

Why doesn't the name of the Blueberry White Tea variety indicate that it also contains pear juice?

28 ICE TEA Blueberry White Tea contains 1% blueberry juice and 4% pear juice from juice concentrate. The product name 'Blueberry' best describes the overall sensory impression of this variety. Pear juice is not mentioned in the product name or in the product designation because pear juice rounds off the product's taste but does not play a major role in determining it.
